Jeffrey Gettleman(2019)
Jeffrey Gettleman, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, is The New York Times’s South Asia bureau chief, based in New Delhi. He studied philosophy at Cornell University before winning a Marshall Scholarship to study at Oxford. He was previously the paper’s East Africa bureau chief, based in Kenya from 2006 to 2017. He is the author of Love, Africa, a memoir about his experiences there.
