Uday Chandra(2019)

Uday Chandra teaches politics and history at Georgetown University, Qatar. He received his PhD in political science from Yale University in 2013. His research is interdisciplinary, focusing on the study of power and resistance, political violence, rural-urban migration, and popular religion. His forthcoming book, Negotiating Leviathan, traces how “tribes” have curiously co-evolved with modern state-making processes in South Asia and beyond.
