Buket Uzuner is an author of novels, short stories, and travelogues. Uzuner was chosen as an honorary fellow writer by The University of Iowa and was selected as one of the 75 Most Influential Women of the Republic of Turkey by civic leaders, members of the press, and academia to celebrate the Republic of Turkey’s 75th anniversary.
