ORNIT SHANI(2018)
Ornit Shani is a scholar of the politics and modern history of India. She is the author of How India Became Democratic: Citizenship and the Making of the Universal Franchise. Her previous book isCommunalism, Caste and Hindu Nationalism: The Violence in Gujarat. She is currently working on a social history of India’s first elections. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Haifa.
