CHRISTOPHER SHACKLE(2018)
Christopher Shackle retired from SOAS in 2007 as Emeritus Professor of the Modern Languages of South Asia. His publications reflect his wide interests in the languages, literatures, and religions of South Asia, particularly in Urdu, Punjabi, and other languages of Pakistan
and north-west India, and in Sikhism and Sufism. Besides his translations of Bulleh Shah and Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai for the Murty Classical Library, his earlier translations of the Siraiki poems of Khwaja Ghulam Farid are soon to be reissued by Beacon Books, Manchester.
