Toluwanimi Obiwole(2015)
Toluwanimi Obiwole is a Nigerian born, Colorado raised poet currently studying architectural engineering at CU Boulder. She began her poetry-journey with the Colorado youth slam poetry organization, Minor Disturbance. In 2013 she represented Colorado on Minor Disturbance in the Brave New Voices International Poetry Festival where she ranked no.1 in the world for youth poetry. In 2014 the team took 4th position in the world. In 2015, she became the inaugural Denver Youth Poet Laureate. She is continuing her journey in poetry, trying to find her voice and combine her love for the arts and sciences together.
