Saif Mahmood is an Indian Supreme Court lawyer, academic, author, Urdu poetry expert, public speaker and traveller. Currently Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Oxford, Mahmood is the author of Beloved Delhi: A Mughal City and Her Greatest Poets, widely-recognized as an authoritative work on Urdu poetry and literary heritage.
