Reiland Rabaka
Reiland Rabaka is a professor of African, African American, and Caribbean Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he founded the Center for African & African American Studies. He is also a research fellow at the University of South Africa. Rabaka has authored 19 books and over 100 scholarly articles. His notable works include Africana Critical Theory, Forms of Fanonism, The Negritude Movement, and Civil Rights Music. His contributions span critical theory and African American musicology. He has received numerous awards and fellowships, including from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Science Foundation. Rabaka’s work is featured in major media like NPR and The New York Times. He is also a poet and musician.
