Mohan Ambikaipaker(2023)
Mohan Ambikaipaker is Director and Associate Professor in the World Cultures and Literatures program at the University of Houston. He is an anthropologist, poet and cultural studies scholar and the author of Political Blackness in Multiracial Britain, an ethnographic study of South Asian and African experiences of racism in east London. His poetry has recently appeared in Best Asian Poetry 2021 anthology, edited by Sudeep Sen, and he was a finalist for the 2018 D.K. Dutt Award for Literary Excellence in Malaysia. He was a featured speaker in the Emmy-nominated PBS show Blackademics, and is a frequent media commentator in Southeast Asia.
