Dorcas Hand(2023)
Dorcas Hand is a retired school librarian who works as a school library and intellectual freedom advocate in Houston. She is a grassroots advocate in Houston working to reconstitute libraries in the Houston ISD schools. She recently completed a term on the Board of the Freedom to Read Foundation (2019-2023). She is active in the Texas Library Association and the American Library Association.
