Boulder, We Are Back!
The Jaipur Literature Festival has a well-earned reputation as the world’s largest free literary festival. From just 100 visitors in 2006, it grew to 300,000 footfalls over the five-day festival this January. Now Jaipur Literature Festival returns to Boulder for the second edition of JLF at Boulder. With over 60 speakers, it explores issues as diverse as Native American, African-American and Latino Voices, LGBT, Immigration, and Graphic Novels, and more.
“Sit in one seat, and travel the world without moving an inchâ€, says Festival Producer Sanjoy Roy as he describes the wonder that is the Jaipur Literature Festival. Aiming to bring that to Beautiful Boulder for the second time, JLF at Boulder boasts of a speaker line-up of authors, journalists and published academics including Pulitzer Prize-winner Viet Thanh Nguyen, best-selling authors Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Stephen Graham Jones, Manuel Ramos, Patricia Limerick and Amitava Kumar.
The famed and inclusive programming that Jaipur Literature Festival is known for comes to be celebrated in Boulder once again with sessions on the Syrian refugee crisis, Native American Writing, the gramophone women of India, geopolitics and warcraft, and more. With close to 20 returning authors, JLF at Boulder celebrates the Pulse of World Literature.<
For those who will be attending JLF at Boulder, the Festival will be at held the Boulder Library with a week of lead-up activities held in and around Boulder.
