Sussan Babaie is Reader in the Arts of Iran and Islam at The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London. Among her books are Isfahan and Its Palaces, Slaves of the Shah and Persian Kingship and Architecture. Her next book is about conceptual links between visual and gustatory taste and between dishes (vessels) and dishes (food) in early modern Iran.
