Namita Gokhale is an award-winning Indian writer. She has authored 20 books, including 11 works of fiction. Her first book, Paro, remains a cult classic. Her novel Jaipur Journals was published recently as was Betrayed By Hope, a play on the poet Michael Madhusudan Dutt. Her latest novel is The Blind Matriarch. Gokhale is a co-founder and co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival, and deeply committed to supporting translations and curating literary dialogues across languages and cultures.
