Navdeep Suri(2022)
Navdeep Suri is a Distinguished Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation. A former diplomat, Suri has served as India’s Ambassador to UAE and Egypt and as High Commissioner to Australia. He has learnt Arabic and French and has a passion for translation. His English translations of his grandfather Nanak Singh’s classic Punjabi novels have been published by Penguin as The Watchmaker and by HarperCollins as A Life Incomplete and Khooni Vaisakhi. His translations of the first of two novels on the partition of India in 1947 have been recently published as Hymns in Blood.
