Marcus Moench

Marcus Moench has worked on water, climate and social change issues in South Asia, the U.S. and globally. Combining analysis of transformation and resilience in complex systems, his approach integrates culture, economics and science in pursuit of change. He the author of numerous academic and professional publications and is currently working on his first major work of fiction. This latest effort draws on insights from his own history and the many conversations he has had with researchers and local residents across the western U.S. He founded the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition in 1997 and obtained his PhD from the Energy and Resources Group at U.C., Berkeley in 1990.
