Michael Williams is a 25-year veteran in Broadcast journalism. He graduated in English Literature from Delhi University before acquiring a Bachelors in Communications from University of Chicago. With a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Regent University in Virginia, he has a Ph. D. in Media and Education. He worked as an Executive Producer with NBC in New York for six years where he earned himself two Emmy nominations. He relocated to New Delhi and took over as the Producer of Newstrack and Aaj Tak. He has done cricket commentary on Doordarshan and before entering into the field of education, he was the Senior Editor/Senior Anchor on Times Now. Today, he is the Dean of the Mount Carmel Schools, rated amongst the top schools in India. His parents, Dr Vijay and Dr. Neena Williams, the Founders of Mount Camel, are his greatest source of inspiration. He is actively involved in crusading for the rights and autonomy of Schools, especially for Minority institutions. Apart from being an avid musician, he holds the World record for crossing the World’s four highest mountain passes in under twenty-four hours in August 2004, on a motorbike. He is a highly sought after guest for television news programmes and conferences in matters relating to schools in Delhi and Education in India. He has authored many articles on the Right to Education, New Education Policy and was a part of the committee redrafting the Delhi School Education Act. He recently completed his law studies and has a vision to empower students, especially the girl child, in building a progressive and harmonious India. He lives in New Delhi with his wife, Ann. They have two sons, Mark & Luke, both of whom recently graduated with dual MBA and Education degrees from Dallas Baptist University.
