Margaret Alva has served as Governor of four states and as Union Minister for ten years. During her 30 years in Parliament, she served on important committees and represented the country at many international conferences. She served as General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee for five years and as Advisor to the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training.
