Writer-painter Amruta Patil is the author of four graphic novels and India's first female graphic novelist. Her latest, Aranyaka: Book of the Forest, explores nature-centric Vedic ideas via a cast of feisty female ‘rishikas’ (seekers). Patil was awarded a Nari Shakti Puraskar in 2017.
