About JLF Toronto

We are delighted to invite you to join us at JLF Toronto 2020 - to connect, escape and indulge.

From November 27 – 29, JLF Toronto 2020 will showcase Canadian talent and embrace international voices. While we cannot gather in person and the festival will be virtual, all else remains the same – the gift of camaraderie, the caravan of ideas and the magic of conversation.

In 2019, Teamwork Arts, producer of the Jaipur Literature Festival, brought to Canada, a celebration of literature and the power of dialogue. JLF Toronto will continue to build on the success of last year’s inaugural edition with a virtual offering for 2020 reinforcing South Asia’s unique literary heritage while infusing it with flavours true to the proud literary legacy of Canada.

Once again this year, filmmakers, historians, diplomats, mythologists, journalists, screenplay writers and a Pulitzer Prize winner will discuss migration and identity, book-to-screen adaptations, the origin of the dictionary, travel, climate change, politics, how libraries develop societies’ knowledge bases, and mythology. The weekend will also showcase Canadian poets and emerging student writers.
