Manuel Muñiz is the Provost of IE University in Madrid and a Professor of Practice of International Relations. He oversees IE’s strategic development and serves as the Dean of IE’s School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs (SPEGA). In 2023, he was elected President of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) and appointed a Senior Fellow at Brookings’ Foreign Policy Programme. Previously, he held roles at the Spanish Foreign Ministry and Harvard University. Muñiz’s academic work focuses on technology's impact on social and economic trends and the rise of populism. He holds degrees from Complutense University in Madrid, Harvard University, and the University of Oxford, and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to international relations.
