Manuel Muñiz
Manuel Muñiz is the Provost of IE University in Madrid and a Professor of Practice of International Relations. He oversees IE’s strategic development and serves as the Dean of IE’s School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs (SPEGA). In 2023, he was elected President of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) and appointed a Senior Fellow at Brookings’ Foreign Policy Programme. Previously, he held roles at the Spanish Foreign Ministry and Harvard University. Muñiz’s academic work focuses on technology's impact on social and economic trends and the rise of populism. He holds degrees from Complutense University in Madrid, Harvard University, and the University of Oxford, and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to international relations.
Manuel Muñiz es rector de IE University en Madrid y catedrático de Práctica de Relaciones Internacionales. Supervisa el desarrollo estratégico de IE y es decano de la School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs (SPEGA) de la IE. En 2023 fue elegido presidente de la Asociación de Escuelas Profesionales de Asuntos Internacionales (APSIA) y nombrado socio mayoritario del programa de Política Exterior de Brookings. Anteriormente, ocupó cargos en el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores español y en la Universidad de Harvard. El trabajo académico de Muñiz se centra en el impacto de la tecnología en las tendencias sociales y económicas y en el auge del populismo. Es licenciado por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Universidad de Harvard y la Universidad de Oxford, y ha recibido numerosos premios y reconocimientos por sus contribuciones a las relaciones internacionales.
