Karina Sainz
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Karina Sainz Borgo is a Madrid-based writer and journalist. Her debut novel, It Would Be Night in Caracas, drew comparisons to Jorge Luis Borges from the New York Times and was met with widespread acclaim. Her novel, No Place to Bury the Dead, won the 2023 Jan Michalski Prize. Her most recent book, La isla del Doctor Schubert, came out in 2023.
