Anand A. Yang

Anand A. Yang, Professor of History and International Studies, University of Washington, has authored several books including The Limited Raj: Agrarian Relations in Colonial India and Bazaar India: Peasants, Traders, Markets and the Colonial State; and Empire of Convicts: Indian Penal Labor in Colonial Southeast Asia. He is currently completing a partly autobiographical account of New Delhi in the early 1960s and a study of indentured migration from north India during the colonial period.
