Venki Ramakrishnan
Venki Ramakrishnan is a molecular biologist from Cambridge, England, who shared the 2009 Nobel Prize for his work on the structure and function of ribosomes. He served as president of the Royal Society from 2015-2020, and is the author of two books: Gene Machine (2018), and Why We Die (2024).
