Malini Roy is Curator of Visual Arts at the British Library, responsible for collections of South Asian art. She curated the Library’s exhibition Mughal India: Art, Culture and Empire in 2012 and co-authored the accompanying publication with J.P. Losty. She has written extensively on later Mughal painting, specifically on the historical portraits of the Mughal emperors Muhammad Shah and Aurangzeb.
