Kirsten Ostherr, PhD, MPH is the Gladys Louise Fox Professor and Director of the Medical Humanities Research Institute at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Ostherr has written numerous books and articles about medical film, media and digital technologies. She is currently writing a book on Virtual Health for MIT Press.
