Shastri Akella’s debut novel is The Sea Elephants. He won the 2024 BLR Fiction Prize. His stories are available in Guernica, Fairy Tale Review, World Literature Today, etc. He has an MFA and PhD. from UMass Amherst. He teaches writing at MSU.
