Serious Men:
Sudhir Mishra in conversation with Vani Tripathi Tikoo
Award-winning author Manu Joseph’s novel Serious Men has recently been adapted by Sudhir Mishra into a Netflix movie and stars the iconic Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It delves into the life of a man who unwittingly starts a chain of uncontrollable events as he attempts to promote the myth he has created around his son. Celebrated filmmaker Mishra speaks about the many layers of the film and its piercing look at a divided and aspirational India. In a conversation with Vani Tripathi Tikoo, he also discusses the experience of bringing this narrative onto an OTT platform and explores the story's many satirical levels of class, love, ego and ambition.
