Pratik Kanjila
Pratik Kanjilal is literary editor and editorial writer of the Indian Express. He has also worked with the Economic Times and Business Standard, and was part of the launch team of Down to Earth magazine. He has been a columnist with the Hindustan Times, the Free Press Journal and Time Out magazine, and has contributed to The London Magazine. He is also a literary translator and has won the Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize for his English rendering of the Hindi modernist writer Nirmal Verma’s last novel, Antim Aranya. He has been Translator in Residence at the British Centre for Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Intriguingly, he was also awarded the first New York University Prize for Hyperfiction.
