Boria Majumdar is a Rhodes scholar and author of multiple books on Indian sport and its history. His most recent work, Eleven Gods and a Billion Indians, was awarded the Rabindra Puraskar for Literature in 2018. He is Senior Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire and Adjunct Professor, Monash University, Melbourne. He also serves as Consulting Editor, Sports for the India Today Group.
