SOMJIT DASGUPTA(2018)
Somjıt Dasgupta represents the oldest traditional style of classical instrumental music ın India. Dasgupta plays the sarod, dhrupad rabab, mohan veena, sur-shrıngar and sur-rabab and has performed across India and abroad. He was selected for a Senior Fellowship at the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ministry of Culture (2003-2005) and as Eastern India Coordinator for the projects of teaching, making, acquisition and restoration of musical instruments under the Sangeet Natak Akademi from 2008 to 2012.
