Mira Nair(2020)
Mira Nair is an Academy Award-nominated director. Her debut feature, Salaam Bombay! , garnered over 25 awards, including the Caméra d’Or at Cannes. Her successes include Mississippi Masala , Monsoon Wedding, which won the Golden Lion, Vanity Fair, The Namesake, The Reluctant Fundamentalist and the Queen of Katwe. Nair recently returned to her roots in theatre with a musical version of Monsoon Wedding. It was sold out at the Berkeley Repertory Theater in 2018 and opens at London’s Roundhouse Theatre in July 2020. Nair has just completed directing a six-hour series of Vikram Seth’s magnum opus A Suitable Boy for the BBC.
