Kenan Malik is a writer, lecturer and broadcaster. His books include From Fatwa to Jihad, The Quest for a Moral Compass, Multiculturalism and its Discontents, Strange Fruit,and The Meaning of Race. From Fatwa to Jihad was shortlisted for the George Orwell Prize and Strange Fruit was nominated for the Royal Society Science Book Prize. He is a columnist for the Observer and has written for many publications in Europe, America and Australia. His writings and talks can be found on the website Pandaemonium.
