John Elliott is an author and foreign correspondent whose prize-winning book, Implosion: India’s Tryst with Reality, has just come out in a new edition that reviews and analyses Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s years in power. A former Financial Times journalist, he writes a blog on South Asia current affairs called ‘Riding the Elephant’ that also appears on the website of Asia Sentinel (Hong Kong). He has also written, among others, for The Economist, Fortune and the New Statesman.
