Deepa Anappara

Deepa Anappara worked as a journalist in India and is currently studying for a PhD at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Her debut novel Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. A partial of the novel won the Deborah Rogers Foundation Writer’s Award, the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize and the Bridport/Peggy Chapman-Andrews Award. It is being translated into 19 languages.
