Deepa Agarwal has over 50 books published in the genres of fiction, poetry and translation.
She received the NCERT National Award for Children’s Literature in 1993 for
Ashok’s New Friends and her historical fiction Caravan to Tibet was on the IBBY
Honour List 2008. The Begum is one of her latest titles.
