Brian Klaas is a fellow at the London School of Economics, focusing on democracy and authoritarianism. He is the author of three books, How to Rig an Election, The Despot’s Apprentice: Donald Trump’s Attack on Democracy and The Despot’s Accomplice: How the West is Aiding & Abetting the Decline of Democracy. Dr. Klaas is a Washington Post columnist and appears regularly on a variety of international television and radio outlets.
