William Dalrymple is a bestselling author of numerous books, including Return of a King: An Indian Army in Afghanistan and Koh-i-Noor, co-written with Anita Anand. His awards include the Wolfson Prize for History, the Scottish Book of the Year Award and the Duff Cooper Memorial Prize. His latest book is The Anarchy: The East India Company, Corporate Violence, and the Pillage of an Empire. Dalrymple is one of the founders and a co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival.
