Sven Beckert(2019)
Sven Beckert is Laird Bell Professor of History at Harvard University. His most recent book, Empire of Cotton, won the Bancroft Prize, the Alfred D. Chandler Prize, the Cundill Award for Excellence, the Premio Cheraso, among others, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. The New York Times named it as one of the ten best books of 2015.
