Shabnam Virmani(2015)
Shabnam Virmani is a documentary filmmaker, singer and artist in residence at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore. Deeply inspired by the poetry of Kabir and other Bhakti, Sufi and Baul poets, she has initiated the Kabir Project, which journeys into the oral traditions of this poetry, curating and sharing it through films, audio CDs, books of translated poems, festivals, workshops and a web archive.
