Uday Prakash(2018)
Uday Prakash is one of very few Indian language writers who has been widely translated into vernacular and major foreign languages. Most of his short stories have been adopted for the stage and films. Recently, in 2015, he came in to focus when he returned the Sahitya Academy Award in protest against the murder of dissenting writers, which turned out to become a central nonconformist movement of writers and artists in India.
