Melanie Cheng is an author and GP. Her debut short-story collection Australia Day won 2018’s Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Fiction and, two years earlier, the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript. Room for a Stranger is her first novel.
